The Journal of Medical Laboratory Science is a fully open access journal that publishes, in English, high-quality research papers, in areas of biomedical science and Laboratory Medicine with special emphasis on inter-related aspects. Papers are considered for peer review on the understanding that they are original and not being considered for publication elsewhere. 

  The Journal of Medical Laboratory Science considers manuscripts for publication related to the areas of biomedical science and Laboratory Medicine. The journal welcomes the submission of manuscripts that meet the general criteria of significance and academic excellence. All articles published in Journal of Medical Laboratory Science will be peer-reviewed. The decision of the Editor-in-Chief to publish a paper in concurrence with referee(s) opinion is considered final. Journal of Medical Laboratory Science aims at rapid publication [papers accepted for publication will appear online within a month] of high quality research results while maintaining rigorous peer review process.

The journal has the following sections:  

1- Clinical Microbiology.

2- Clinical Parasitology.

3- Clinical Biochemistry.

4- Haematology and Blood Group Serology.

5- Cyto-genetics, Exfoliative Cytology.

6- Clinical Virology and Medical Mycology.

7- Histopathology and Immuno-chemistry.

Peer Review Process

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN BEING A REVIEWER FOR THE JOURNAL?
In our commitment to quality improvement and timeliness, we are seeking reviewers in all specialties. Reviewers must be willing to share our commitment and achieve a turnaround time of 3 weeks in most cases.

If you are interested in reviewing manuscripts for the Journal of Medical Laboratory Science (JMLS), we want to hear from you! Please send your name, qualifications, address, e-mail address and up to three specialty interests to fathmaga@gmail.com.

  Reviewers are sent by email with the full text of the manuscript that is within their realm of expertise with an assessment form and the guide for reviewers. The reviewer recommends whether to accept, reject, or accept a manuscript with changes. Comments and recommendations for changes should accompany the completed review form, which the reviewer emails back to the Editor's office. Names of reviewers are not released to the authors, and names of authors are not released to reviewers.

  There is no financial remuneration for reviewing manuscripts, but many professionals find participation in the process of peer review extremely rewarding because they appreciate the opportunity to review and make comments on research articles, review articles, and case reports in their area of expertise and to enhance the quality of papers published in the medical literature. There is no minimum number of reviews required, and reviewers may decline to review at any time

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
